Overview:
Contrary to what you might think, one of the best indicators of how a relationship may fare is not the lack of fighting and disagreement but the way individuals build and maintain their relationships, especially through the resolution of their differences. In other words, the ways in which people use their emotional intelligence skills and knowledge about diversity issues.
In order to build effective, joyful, inclusive, respectful and productive relationships either at home or at work we need to focus on 3 dimensions: 1) the foundations embodying principles that govern relationships; 2) the structures that will actively support those principles, and 3) the everyday skills necessary to build, foster, sustain and repair our relationships.
In this session we will explore the role of emotional Intelligence in helping individuals govern their emotions, manage their stress and build their resilience.
Opinions expressed are those of the speaker and not necessarily those of the Council and its membership.
