Program:
Using Energy Psychology to Treat Abused Children
Speaker:
Nora Baladerian, Ph.D. & MFT
Director, Disability, Abuse & Personal Rights Project
Dr. Baladerian will describe her work with child abuse survivors and their
families using energy medicine. This will be an overview of how this treatment
works and can easily be included into conventional therapeutic interactions with
children and their families. If time allows, demonstrations will be conducted.
This treatment modality is used all over the world, and is based in the
well-known sciences of Chinese and Indian Ayurvedic medicine.
Dr. Baladerian has been treating children and adults affected by trauma, for over 30 years. She specializes in working with those who have an intellectual, communication or physical disability. Always searching for "something better" to help her clients, she has become an avid advocate of energy psychology. Healing the emotional states of trauma, sadness, grief, overwhelm, anxiety, phobias, nightmares/daymares/flashbacks, sleep & eating disturbances with energy psychology has been in her words "precisely what I have been wanting: something that works, works in the moment of the therapeutic encounter, involves nothing that is ingested, injected or inhaled, empowers the client, is based in a system that makes sense, and the positive effects of the treatment last over time". She is excited to share her knowledge and experience with our council. Using Thought Field Therapy, she has led 5 trauma teams into New Orleans post Katrina, treating over 500 individuals, as well as training over 70 health professionals in TFT.
Opinions expressed are those of the speaker and not necessarily those of the Council and its membership.
